IN COLLABORATION WITH

ESCAPE REALITY

Two of Bristol's leading queer party starters team up to bring you a night of hedonism and body positivity. A night we want you to remember and create amazing memories within. This iconic collaboration of underground music and high-end performance is set to deliver something quite special for our community.

Join us on the 24th March to celebrate as one in a safe environment where we embrace our true identity and live the best version of ourselves unapologetically.

We are beyond excited to open the doors and welcome you all to lose your inhibitions, immerse yourselves on the dance floor and connect as we take you on a journey ‘escaping reality’ as we move into the night.

All profits are in aid of our three amazing charities which support racial equality, LGBTQ+ communities and mental health. More information about the charities we support is available here.

If you have any accessibility requirements do not hesitate to contact us to discuss how we can accommodate you.

Bitch, please!

South West’s original queer party landed itself on the scene back in 2016 at Bristol’s iconic music venue Motion . Having had a huge success in Bristol, Bitch Please! has brought the party to various cities, iconic venues and major festivals across the UK including holding residencies in Cardiff and Brighton. The focus is to create a safe space everywhere they go for the queer community to thrive in.

From Disco to House, Techno and everything in between, Bitch Please! Have brought global artists including: The Blessed Madonna, Honey Dijon, Horse Meat Disco, Cinthe, Hannah Holland, Mike Servito, Octo Octa, Hunee, Jayda G, Palms Trax, Gideon, Bambounou, Derrick Carter, Prosumer, Josh Caffe, Absolute, Midland, HAAi, Jaye Ward, LCY, Baby T, Moxie, CC:Disco, NIKS, Saoirse, Or:la, Powder, Shy One and more to their events.

There is no questioning that Bitch, Please! are more than just a party, it's a community where everyone is encouraged to be themselves but most importantly become one!

MANIFESTO

  • Red light districts around the world stand proudly against the grain, continuing one of the oldest and most marginalised professions in our society. FUZE and Bitch, Please! are working together to bring an event that embodies and honours the expression of sexual empowerment and breaks down stigmatisations; to reclaim the right for people to make informed decisions about their bodies and to be comfortable in their own skin. Inspired by Red light districts and their message, we aim to channel their power and celebrate people's uniqueness by creating a safe space for people to truly be themselves and creatively express their sexuality.

  • REDLIGHT is a queer celebration. It is about escaping reality and dancing to the music we all love. We always believed in the power of music to bring people together as one with love in our hearts and today we have the same vision, a melting pot of different genders, races, ages, sexualities and abilities. We intend to create a queer space that is intersectional, liberating, loving, generous and as safe as possible for everyone attending. To be able to do that, there are certain things we ask and expect of you.

  • Consent is paramount. We ask you not to touch anyone without consent. This applies to everyone in the party including our performers.

  • REDLIGHT has a zero-tolerance policy on sexual or physical harassment. Anyone reported for or caught harassing anybody may be removed from the venue. There will be a dedicated team of armband wearers that are trained to look out for and proactively prevent sexual harassment, if you see or feel harassed by anyone, please feel safe to talk to an armband wearer, they are neither security nor police and they will believe you.

  • We are working towards being an inclusive, diverse and anti-racist space; we want to create parties that are safe and welcoming for BIPOC, if you are reported for racist behaviour of any kind, you will immediately be removed from the venue. If you witness racism happening, report it! If you are silent then you are part of the problem. We expect you to be actively anti racist.

  • REDLIGHT is a queer party for all - good people are welcome here, queers and allies alike. However, if you are an ally, we ask you to consider what being an ally means to you. This is a queer party. You are in someone's house and we therefore ask you to respect and understand that unconditionally. You are a welcome guest in a special place, a place where people want to feel free and liberated. Anyone not agreeing or understanding this will be asked to leave immediately!

  • Presentation is not always a true reflection of identity. Please do not make assumptions about anyone's gender, race or sexuality. We want REDLIGHT to be a space that centres QBIPOC, trans and non-binary experiences. Ask what pronouns someone uses and use gender neutral language when referring to someone you do not know.

  • Look out for your friends and fellow dancers alike. We are a family! If someone is in need, please get them the help they deserve. If there is an immediate threat, danger or emergency, alert any security or staff member immediately.
